I have a brand new song called, "A Farewell to Arms", releasing on May 9, 2025. The song is about Ernest Hemingway's novel of the same name. I wrote it to enter the New York Public Radio's 2025 Public Song Contest, which required you to write a song about something in the public domain. 

"A Farewell to Arms" was one of the first books that helped me to fall in love with reading in high school so I chose it as my inspiration since it recently went into public domain. The image to the left if of my home studio where I tracked acoustic guitar, vocals, piano, and produced the track.

Conner Eko's brand-new single, "Standing Up (Live in Studio)"  now has an official release date of January 24, 2025! 

The song was recorded live with piano and lead vocal (Conner Eko), drums (Rick Munoz), bass (Paul Martin Sounder), and background vocals (Marlo Goeller and Angel Syriah) at 25th Street Recording Studios in Oakland, California on October 7, 2024 and produced by Jacob Light (ModernTone Studios). The performance was filmed by independent filmmaker, Aaron Japzon. The release will coincide with a live in-studio music video releasing the same day on Vevo, Tidal, Apple Music, YouTube, and other video platforms. The song will release on all popular streaming services, such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, etc. 

Eko and Japzon will also release a short documentary about the song shortly after release date. Eko is also excited to announce that he is working on recording his first ever full-length album in 2025. Conner Eko is an indie pop singer-songwriter and astronomer based in Vallejo, California, with over two decades of musical experience. After a short hiatus since his last single in 2022, while he focused on completing his PhD in astrophysics and navigating personal challenges, he is thrilled to announce his return to music with his upcoming new single, “Standing Up - Live in Studio”, scheduled for release on January 24, 2025. This track embodies his journey of resilience and healing, showcasing his personal growth and transformation through the battles he has faced with depression. 

Conner successfully entered the recording studio with producer Jacob Light at ModernTone and 25th Street Recording Studios in the Bay Area, CA, in October 2024 to record "Standing Up" live. This exciting new recording begins a new chapter in his musical journey as it will feature a live in-studio recording with Conner performing alongside studio musicians, and a documentary that highlights the creative process while including personal accounts about the meaning of the song and insights into his mental health journey to raise awareness for mental health issues.
